Water Ski Team Wins Both Meets With Rollins
Kyle Zimmerman was the men's overall winner in both meets.Florida Southern's water ski team won both meets with Rollins over the weekend at Lake Grew.
In Saturday's meet, the FSC men outscored Rollins 905-605 and the women won 700-440. FSC's Kyle Zimmerman was the men's overall winner. He won the tricks competition, was fourth in the slalom and sixth in the jump. Keri McClure and Lauren Morgan finished first and second, respectively, in the women's overall point totals. McClure tied for first in the slalom, was second in the jump competition and fourth in tricks. Morgan was first in the jump, third in tricks and tied for fourth in the slalom. Her jump mark was just a foot short of the national collegiate record.
In Sunday's meet, the FSC men won 815-680 and the women won 790-510. Zimmerman again was the men's overall winner. He was second in tricks, fourth in the slalom and fifth in the jump.
For the women, Morgan and McClure switched positions from Saturday, with Morgan winning the overall and McClure placing second. Morgan was first in the jump, second in the slalom and third in tricks. McClure was second in the jump, fourth in the slalom and fourth in tricks.
FSC's next meet will the NCWSA Eastern Regional Oct. 1-2 at Polks City (Lake Grew).
