Dominguez Wins Flight B Singles At Rollins Invitational

Joalis Dominguez was the winner of Flight B singles

Joalis Dominguez claimed the Flight B singles title Sunday at the Rollins C.L. Varner Invitational in Winter Park.  She defeated Ashley Rosenberg of Rollins, 6-4, 6-2, in the title match.

In the doubles competition, the team of Agnese Rozite and Sabine Goge lost in the Flight A semifinals, 9-8, to No. 2 seed Joanna Szymcyk and Kathleen Henry of Armstrong Atlantic, the eventual champions, in Sunday's semifinal match.

In Flight B, the doubles team of Laura Wichmann and Crystal Copeland also lost in the semifinals, 8-2, to Clarke Tatji and Rosenberg of Rollins, the eventual champions.

In the Flight A consolation singles bracket, Veronika Kovacikova lost, 6-0, 6-1, to Margaret Junker of Rollins.

The Varner Invitational concluded the Moccasins' fall competition.
