Singles Play Lifts Florida Southern Over #16 Lander

Ben Taylor won in straight sets at #6 singlesSAVANNAH, GA - After taking two of the three doubles matches, 13th-ranked Florida Southern added wins in four of the six singles contests to register a 6-3 win over 16th-ranked Lander Saturday at Savannah, Ga. The Moccasins picked up singles wins from Michael Knoedler at No. 1, Christian Lange at No. 3 and Ben Taylor at No. 6 in straight sets and Nicolas Bigler at No. 4 in three sets.
The Moccasins (2-0) play at home Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Saint Leo.
