Mocs Top Saint Leo 112-89
John Sevier won two events and swam on a winning relay teamLed by freshman John Sevier, the Moccasins won seven events and topped Saint Leo 112-89 in their dual meet at Saint Leo Friday.
Sevier won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.01 and the 100-yard freestyle in 51.06, then swam the first leg on the 400-yard freestyle relay team that won in 3:22.22. Following Sevier on the relay were Kelly Dorian, Bruce Janzen and Dan Naherny.
In addition to the wins by Sevier, the Moccasins had wins from Charlie Dolan in the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.28), Greg Gorman in the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.67) and Naherny in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.49), plus the 400-yard medley relay team of Naherny, Brian Moran, Dorian and Gorman.
The Moccasins' next meet is Friday at 3 p.m. against Savannah College of Art & Design at the Hollis Wellness Center Pool.
