The Moccasins' Nicolas Bigler claimed the consolation singles title

Third-seeded Philip Pakebusch defeated his Valdosta State teammate Daniel Dueren, the top seed, 6-3, 6-3 to claim the singles title in the Wilson/ITA South Region Championship at the Beerman Tennis Complex Sunday.

In the doubles championship, the fourth-seeded team of West Florida's Kevin Ducros and Leandro Ferreira took the title with an 8-6 decision over Lynn's Luca Pavanelli and Alex Voirin.

Pakebusch, Ducros and Ferreira advance to the ITA Small College Championship Oct. 15-18 at Mobile, Ala.

The Moccasins' Nicolas Bigler captured the consolation singles title with a 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) win over West Florida's Sean Gunnels.
